Queen Margaret University: Edinburgh Innovation Hub

The Edinburgh Innovation Hub is a £40m development at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, delivered in partnership with East Lothian Council as part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal. It is the anchor building for the planned Edinburgh Innovation Park and was officially opened in September 2026.

The Hub was designed as a class-leading, inclusive and collaborative environment to support innovation-led businesses. The furniture needed to match that ambition: hard-wearing enough for a busy shared building, flexible enough for different ways of working and welcoming enough that people want to spend time there.

Claremont Office Furniture designed, supplied and installed furniture fro meeting and seminar rooms as well as breakout spaces within the building.

We brought together products from some of our favourite suppliers alongside pieces from our own Claremont range, giving the Hub a consistent look across its different spaces.

Products supplied included:

  • Pedrali Nemea chairs
  • DS2 soft seating
  • Verco Bethan and Snug seating
  • Pledge Ciao chairs

From the Claremont range:

  • Rotate tables
  • Blend meeting tables
  • Bothy booth seating
  • Column tables
  • Cone tables and seating

The finished spaces give people a choice of where and how to work, from booth seating for small meetings to relaxed soft seating and café-style tables for informal conversations. It’s a building designed to bring people together, and we’re delighted to have played a part in it.
